He is survived by his wife, Akiko (nee Funatsu), and daughters, Naomi and Yukie (Todd) Lindsey. He is also survived by his sister, Dorothy (Mo) Yanagi, and her children, Ann (Scott), Amy (Robin), Gayle (Roberto), and Glenn (Michelle).
